Congratulations EB category applicants! USCIS introduced a new system for visa bulletin. Starting October, USCIS has introduced cutoff dates for filing I-485 applications

What does it mean to you?

If your priority date is earlier than the acceptance cut-off date specified in the visa bulletin chart, you can apply for I-485. This is a Great NEWS!

Moving forward, the visa bulletin will contain Acceptance Dates and Final Action Dates.

Acceptance Date: You can file your I-485 if your priority dates crosses the Acceptance Date.

Final Cut off Date: Your GC will be approved if your priority date crosses the Final Cut off Date.

What are the benefits of this rule?

Here are the list of benefits if you apply for i-485:

  • EAD
  • Change employers easily (AC 21)
  • Avoid visa extensions and stampin
